Transform: Supported Volunteering for Young People (15-24)

Transform is an inclusive volunteering project that offers young people (15-24 years old) the opportunity to volunteer as part of a small group with full support and supervision from a Youth Support Coordinator.  Whether experiencing low confidence, additional support needs, mental health problems or just an uncertainty as to whether or not volunteering is for you, Transform aims to be inclusive.

Volunteering activities take place for approximately 2 hours per week and young volunteers can be involved for up to 6 months.  With a wide range of activities available throughout the week, Transform aims to suit all.  Training is provided as necessary, therefore no prior skills or experience are needed, just a willingness to give it a go.

Activity Buddy

Would you like to help us inspire and motivate young people to read more?  We want to provide a rich reading experience for primary aged pupils and help them develop their reading skills.  We also want to encourage lively and informal book chat.  We  will use a variety of mediums including puppets and crafts to help bring the characters of the books to life! Taking on this volunteer opportunity would be a good way to gain experience for a future career in childcare or teaching.

When?

Wednesdays, 3.15pm – 4.45pm
