Volunteer Training Course, Home Link Family Support. Feb/March 2015

Published on 16 January 2015 Categories: Training

Are you looking for really rewarding volunteering in 2015?

We need kind hearted non-judgemental volunteers to visit families with young children. Each volunteer gives a family emotional and practical support for just 2 hours once a week.

Many families in Midlothian are lonely and isolated and desperate for someone just to listen to them and brighten up their week.  With a little praise and encouragement you could help a family become more resilient and create a positive future for their children

Volunteers don’t need any experience, they just need to be over 18, friendly and cheerful.

A recent volunteer says:

"It feels good to know that by giving up just a couple of hours of my time each week, I can provide real support to my volunteer family.

Not only that, but I get a great deal of satisfaction from my volunteering and really look forward to each visit!"

We provide full training, expenses plus regular contact and support from a professional worker.

We have various trainings during the year, the next is on Saturdays,

Feb 21, Feb 28 & March 7.  10am-4.30pm in our office in Edinburgh (near Cameron Toll)
