Afternoon Tea and Entertainment
Volunteer Midlothian's Community Links Befriending Project Afternoon Tea and Entertainment - 30 October 2014.
Lloyds TSB enabled the Community Links Befriending Project to bring clients together socially from both the one to one befriending and the dementia groups. This has been the first opportunity for the participants from the two projects to meet together for this type of event.
Lloyds TSB has been very supportive from the initial planning stages through to the deliver on the day. Lloyds understanding of our participants needs enabled us to organise such a successful event . Financial support for transportation to and from the event and providing a volunteer facilitator at each table enabled full engagement of all the participants.
Community Links would like to thank Kat Wright and all the fabulous volunteers from Lloyds TSB plus Ross and Mags from Volunteer Midlothian for facilitating the event.
This is what some attendees said –
“All mixed together well, the food was lovely and it was nice to get together and get out for the afternoon. “
“Had a laugh, enjoyable, brilliant, when’s the next one?”
“Great help getting a lift to the venue – excellent. Nice making more friends….very well organised"
“Good work on behalf of volunteers, very friendly and helpful staff from Lloyds Bank were great.”
