First ever Volunteer Midlothian Conference a huge success!

On Thursday 15th March, Volunteer Centre Midlothian held the first ever daylong event designed for people thinking about volunteering and organisations who involve volunteers.

Over 100 people attended on the day, which was a great turnout.

There was a range of workshops on the day, that included First Aid, Child Protection, PVG Guidance and much more. Arlene Stuart hosted two "Meet the Volunteer" question and answer sessions, which highlighted the dedication and enthusisum of the volunteers, as well as the difference volunteering was making to their lives. The marketplace had over 20 local organisations hosting stalls that potential volunteers browsed throughout the day.

Thanks to everyone who came along on the day!
