Volunteer Managers Forum

We are pleased that in recent years the role of the Volunteer Manager/Co-ordinator is becoming much more recognised – illustrated by an increase in the development of more jobs with these titles and also in the national debate which surrounds these roles.  We are committed to supporting those in these roles (whether paid or unpaid) as there is much to learn and share with one another which can only benefit our work and the volunteers we support.

To support this, the Volunteer Centre is looking to establish a Volunteer Managers Forum from January which will create the opportunity for Volunteer Managers/Co-ordinators (or those who just have it as part of their job description!) to come together to share experiences and learn from each other, with the possibility of including an element of continued professional development.  We also can incorporate an online forum if that is something that people feel would be beneficial and would make use of.

The first meeting will take place on Thursday 31st January from 9.30 – 11am at Volunteer Centre Midlothian. Please note, this Forum is for members of Volunteer Centre Midlothian only. Contact Alison for more details.
