Transform Tea Dance

The Transform Team held a Tea Dance for older people on Friday 15 May as part of the intergenerational befriending project. Despite the unseasonably cold weather that day, the event was still extremely successful with over 55 people attending. The event was held in Penicuik Town Hall and we had music from Johnny Jenkins who played piano and got everyone up dancing. 10 young volunteers (aged 14-20) from across Midlothian helped with the event; selling raffle tickets, serving tea and cake and dancing with some of the older people! We plan to hold another one in the summer, so look out for details of this in the coming months. For more information on the Transform Project call 0131 660 1216 or email the team.
