Published on 9 January 2020 Categories: Opportunity,  Training

Have you ever considered volunteering alongside children and families in Midlothian? If so, now could be the time to take the next step because Home Link Family Support are looking for volunteers. Home Link volunteers visit a family regularly each week to play and read, get out to the park, listen to parents and give them more confidence - and generally to make life more fun!

No experience is necessary, you just need to be over 18, open minded and kindhearted. You will be supported all the way by a coordinator and your expenses will be paid. As part of the induction process new and prospective volunteers will be able to attend a free training course in February 2020. This will give you all the skills to become a really effective volunteer supporting local families with young children.Home Link also offer lots of further optional training in early literacy, Play@Home, first aid, mental health and more. It’s a fantastic experience for a future career.
