Investing in Young People
Earlier this year Volunteer Midlothian achieved the Investors in Young People (IIYP) accreditation. We were the first employer in Midlothian to achieve IIYP. The award represents real commitment to the training and development of young people and demonstrates Volunteer Midlothian as an employer of choice for young people.
Investors in Young People works with organisations across the private, public and third sector to help them become more effective in their recruitment, retention and development of Young People. These organisations realise that Young People are integral to their long term economic strategies.
Volunteer Midlothian is a strong advocate of the benefits of employing young staff and is delighted to have received the accreditation. We greatly value our staff and volunteers and strive to make sure that everyone feels supported in their roles.
